Gloji Mind+ is a one-to-one weight management programme designed to help those living with mental health conditions. Individuals will meet with a designated practitioner on a weekly basis either face-to-face, online or via the telephone and explore a range of wellbeing-focused topics across 12 sessions.
+
Unlike other weight-focused programmes, Gloji Mind+ looks deeper into your behaviour and lifestyle to set small, sustainable changes to improve your health for good. Rather than following a set diet plan, we listen to what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past. The primary difference being that we encourage responding to feelings over figures by re-focusing on an intuitive relationship with food, physical activity and your wellbeing. The fundamental aim of the programme is to build a foundation of tools and knowledge that you feel confident to build upon after the 12 sessions.
+
Examples of topics include intuitive eating, how food labels can help your journey, hunger and fullness, the relationship between food and mood, how to overcome barriers to exercise, effective goal setting and a whole lot more. Some of these may feel all too familiar, while others may feel alien to you – we hear this. At your first session, the practitioner will run through all available topics and you’re free to choose which you feel will be most useful.
+
Sessions can be face-to-face in our community hubs, online or via the telephone. The practitioner will work with you to find a time that suits you both. If you find one these options would be a better fit for your schedule, this can also be changed during the programme.
+
Each session will last around 45 minutes. The practitioner will allot extra buffer time to ensure you feel conversations aren’t cut short and any further information will be provided in a follow-up email each week. Similarly, if you can only commit to shorter sessions, this can be raised with the practitioner and arranged accordingly.
